The Gold Coast Academy of Sport annual awards night will be postponed until March 2021 when we hope that regulations are much clearer. A date will be decided upon when the situation surrounding the pandemic lessens.
The decision to postpone was taken in light of developments in the COVID-19 crisis and means that the announcement of the awards for all programs held during 2020 and the BMX program conducted in late 2019 will not go ahead until early next year. “We believe this is the right thing to do given the changing circumstances in the COVID-19 crisis,” said Chair David Eckersley. “We’ll continue to monitor the situation and at the appropriate time will make a decision about when Awards night will be rescheduled.”
