The GCAS currently offers a number of pre elite sporting programs including rugby union, rugby league, basketball, AWD basketball, Athletics, football, surf lifesaving and future stars, which is a program for individuals involved in sports that sit outside of other programs on offer through the GCAS. All programs provide ‘on and off’ field development opportunities for young athletes across a variety of sports.

Programs focus on preparing pre-elite Gold Coast athletes for their journey to Olympic or high-performance success through quality inclusive sport and life skill programs is the guiding principle of the Academy. The Gold Coast is a ‘mecca’ for sporting excellence and the GCAS, from its inception in 2009 has been driven to fill an important role within the broader community to develop further regional, state and national representatives in sport.
