Hockey
Program Overview
The Gold Coast Academy of Sport is working with Gold Coast Hockey and the state organisation in the development programming for young athletes. It is focused on building the development of the athlete’s understanding of performance, stronger skills and the necessities of improving performance.
Programs will provide competition approach, specific skill training sessions, professional presenters on various topics and focus on offering athletes with effective ‘tools’ to enhance their performance both on and off the field.
Selection Process
As programs are finalised for 2022, athletes will be requested to apply for inclusion into the program. It is hoped to offer these programs across all ages groups to further develop a sport that has given so much excitement to the Australian public. The Gold Coast is extremely lucky to have retained the amazing facility from the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and it is important to utilise and develop talent within the sport across all ages.
Should you wish to express an interest in future programming please do not hesitate to contact the Academy for information.
