Program Overview
The Gold Coast Academy of Sport is excited to announce the return of a Senior and Junior Netball program to our 2024 calendar after successful inaugural programs in 2023.
We will be delivering a junior and senior Netball program for players representing their associations at the 2024 Queensland Netball State Age Championships and beyond.
- February through to March we will be conducting the senior program for athletes born in 2006 -2009 (Turning 15-18 in 2024.)
- April through to June we will be conducting the Junior program for athletes born in or after 20010 -2012 (Turning 12-14 in 2024.)

Selection Process
Applications are now open under the Register tab located at the top of the page.
Eligibility
To be eligible for an Academy Netball Program, athletes must be:
- Players born in or after 2006 -2009 (Turning 15-18 in 2024.)
- Players born in or after 2010 -2012 (Turning 12-14 in 2024.)
- Selected in a team to represent their Association in the 2024 State Age competition.
- Be a current financial member of a local Netball Association located within the Queensland Gold Coast region
- Aspire to achieve elite representation in Netball.
This program will be capped at 22 participants. All applications will go before a selection committee.
Athlete Commitment
Athletes need to sign an athlete agreement form advising that they are willing to attend compulsory training / educational sessions as scheduled. It is encouraged that athletes attend all sessions to gain full benefit from both skill and core sessions. Athletes and parents will be invited to the GCAS Annual Awards night held in October 2024.
