Program Overview

The Gold Coast Academy of Sport is excited to announce the return of a Senior and Junior Netball program to our 2024 calendar after successful inaugural programs in 2023.

We will be delivering a junior and senior Netball program for players representing their associations at the 2024 Queensland Netball State Age Championships and beyond.

  • February through to March we will be conducting the senior program for athletes born in 2006 -2009 (Turning 15-18 in 2024.)
  •  May through to June we will be conducting the Junior program for athletes born in or after 20010 -2012 (Turning 12-14 in 2024.)
The aim for both the junior and senior programs is to support our regions netball associations, by providing additional development opportunities for netball athletes, assisting them to improve their knowledge and skills, achieve their goals and prepare them for future Regional and State Pathways.   GCAS are excited to have confirmed the services of an elite coach and former international player to lead the program.
All applications will go before a selection committee for acceptance into the program. All Gold Coast associations have also been invited to nominate the names of 5 players they deem worthy of inclusion in the 2024 GCAS Netball Program.
